Grevillea 'Noellii
A dense mounding shrub to 4-5 feet tall and wide. 'Noellii' has clusters of spiky, pink flowers at the ends of the branches (similar to G. 'Canberra Gem') and blooms in the winter. Noellii is a dense shrub with dark green, needle-like leaves. This grevillea adapts to both dry or irrigated garden environments.
Typically woody evergreen plants with intricate and colorful flowers, the grevillea is part of the beautiful Protea family (Proteaceae) group of plant, with an amazing variety of sizes, shapes and colors of plants, from dwarf to tree size and most from Australia. Best location is Full Sun to part shade and on the dry side. Need good drainage, so plant on a slope or hill if you have clay or other heavy soil. Be careful with fertilizers, since many grevilleas are sensitive to phosphorus, a main ingredient in fertilizers which can kill your plant. Do not over water and it is best to NOT plant them near lawn or other heavy watering site. Prune back after flowering to improve blooming period. Most varieties are drought tolerant and hardy to 20 º F.
