Santa Barbara Daisy (Erigeron karvinskianus)
Tough perennial flowering groundcover for a wide variety of soils and exposures. Clay, rocks, poor soil, good soil, sand, etc. - this plant will grow in it and loves part shade or even full shade. Trailing stems give the plant a very delicate, airy look and it's lovely in pots or containers, at wall edges, in borders, or rock gardens, slopes or flat areas. Drought tolerant, but will turn a little brown at the edges if it isn't watered once a week, however it will bounce right back if you trim off the brown bits. Will grow up to 10-20 inches high and up to 3 feet wide, with small white or light pink flowers. Self seeds occasional new plants, but not invasive and easy to control. However, you may want to leave volunteers in place because they add charm and delicate beauty in amazing spots you'd never be able to plant yourself (see photos).
Please remember that not all sizes are available at any given time.
Free delivery in Orange County only. We do not ship plants outside Southern California due to weather, shipping service handling, and cost considerations.
