Cranesbill, Heron's Bill, Alpine Geranium, Storksbill (Erodium reichardii)
Cranesbill Errodium reichardii is a 3-6 inch high perennial flowering groundcover with White or Rose-Pink, Rosy-Veined Petals in a small, dense mound that will spread to 12" across in good conditions. Will grow happily in Full Sun to Partial Shade. Although it is drought tolerant, it does need small amounts of regular water once established. An ideal candidate for edge of lawn, containers, rock gardens, stone borders or wall plantings, it needs good drainage. Definitely plant on slope or in container if you have clay soil.
Cranesbill is the name for a wide variety of geranium species in various shapes and sizes. They are a different part of the geranium family than pelargoniums. Other, larger cranesbill species are Rozanne and Johnson's Blue. Bloom period is usually from April to October, with a few blossoms volunteering year around.
Please remember that not all sizes are available at any given time.
